I have always been fascinated by animals and circuses. The animals, tents and circus props provide great visuals for subject matter of paintings.
As a child, I went to the zoo with my father to draw the animals. I still love drawing and painting animals. You can view my pet portraits at www.FurryFriendsFineArts.com . I paint in watercolor, first because of convenience and then, after many years of watercoloring, by love. I love the allusive nature of watercolor.
When I paint with oils, I like to retain the same freedom of expression as I have when I paint with watercolors. The oils are executed on canvas or wooden panels. I especially like wooden panels because I texture of them.
Many of my paintings are available also in giclees on archival watercolor paper or giclees on canvas. Soon I will be offering greeting cards as well as giclees.
